Yes, you can send a suitcase by post, just like any other parcel. There are two ways: take it to a post office or a parcel drop-off point yourself, or have it collected from your door.

Price and delivery time for Madrid ⇄ Barcelona, in both directions
At the post office or collected from your door?
Both work for sending a suitcase. What changes is who takes it and whether it has to be packed.
At a post office or parcel shop
- You take it to the office or drop-off point yourself.
- Depending on the service, you may be asked to pack it.
- Each company sets its own price, maximum weight and delivery time.
Collected from your door, with Transotel
- It is collected from your home, your hotel or your office; at a hotel, you leave it in the luggage room the night before.
- No box needed: it just has to be well closed and labelled.
- You see the final price before you pay and track the shipment with your order number.
How to send your suitcase without going to the post office
-
Book online
Enter where it is collected and where it is delivered (a home, a hotel or an office), how many suitcases you are sending and their sizes, and the collection day. You see the final price and pay by card.
-
Close it and attach the label
Once your booking is validated, you download the labels from your e-voucher and attach one to each suitcase.
-
It is collected
At a hotel, you leave it in the luggage room the night before and tell reception that an external company will collect it: you do not need to be there. At a home or an office, you choose a morning or afternoon slot.
-
It is delivered
It arrives at the destination address within the time you saw when booking. You track the shipment with your order number.
Before you send it: size, weight and label
Size and weight
It is charged by size and weight, in four sizes. The maximum dimensions and weight of each one are in the price table. If you are unsure between two, choose the larger one.
Closed and labelled
It does not need a box: it just has to be well closed. It carries the shipping label, which you download from your e-voucher with the “Download my labels” button. The PDF voucher you receive is not the label.
What not to send
Dangerous goods, such as flammable products or gases, cannot be shipped. We also advise against sending valuables, money or documents you cannot afford to lose: the shipment carries the statutory transport cover, which is calculated per kilo.
