How much does it cost to send a suitcase?
The price depends on the route and on the suitcase, which is charged by size and weight. You see the final price before you pay, VAT included and with no hidden charges.

How to send a suitcase, step by step

Book online
Choose the origin and destination (a home, a hotel, an office…), how many suitcases you are sending and their size, and the collection day. You see the final price and pay by card.

Get it ready
Close it securely and attach the shipping label. Before paying you read the preparation guidelines, so nothing slips through.

It is collected
At a hotel, you leave it in the luggage room the night before and let reception know: you don't need to be there. At a home or an office, you choose a morning or afternoon time slot.

It is delivered
It arrives at the destination address within the delivery time you saw when booking. You track the shipment with your order number and, if it is going to a hotel, we let the hotel know to expect it.

Within mainland Spain, between the mainland and the Balearic Islands in both directions, and within the Balearic Islands.

With 24 European countries, in both directions: collected there and delivered here, or the other way round. One suitcase per booking, up to 31.5 kg, and the XL size is not available.

Canary Islands
Shipments within the islands are also possible, but they are not booked on the website: request them by email at reservas@transotel.com. For now there are no shipments between the Canary Islands and mainland Spain.

What you can send
Suitcases of any kind, travel and sports bags, golf bags and boxes. Also work materials such as roll-up banners, display stands, samples or catalogues. What matters is that each item fits one of the four sizes, by dimensions and weight.
Electronic devices can travel if they are well packed. We recommend not sending valuables, cash or documents you cannot afford to lose, because the shipment only has the statutory transport cover, which is calculated per kilo. Dangerous goods, such as flammable products or gases, cannot travel either.
Taking material to a trade show? Shipping to trade shows and congresses
Travel without luggage
If you are touring several cities or flying home, send your suitcase ahead and travel with hand luggage only. No dragging it through stations and airports, and no checking it in. And when the trip is over, send it from the hotel to your home, in Spain or in another European country.
What if I send it with a courier?
You can, but then your suitcase travels as just another parcel and you organise everything yourself. With Transotel you get a rate designed for suitcases, the final price before you pay and support in your language. And if something goes wrong, you write to us: we receive your claim and handle it with the transport company.

Can I send a suitcase from home to home?
Yes. It is collected at one home and delivered to another, or to a hotel or an office, across mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands and between Spain and 24 European countries.
Do I need to be there for the collection?
At a hotel, no: you leave it in the luggage room the night before and let reception know. At a home or an office, someone has to hand it over within the time slot you choose, morning or afternoon.
How long does it take?
You see the expected delivery time for your route when booking, before you pay. The standard service has no fixed delivery time. On routes where it is available, you can choose delivery before 10:00 or before 13:30.
Does the suitcase need to be packed in a box?
No. It just needs to be closed securely and labelled. Before paying you read the guidelines for getting it ready.
Can I send several suitcases?
Yes. Within Spain they all go in the same booking. Between Spain and another European country it is one suitcase per booking, so you make one booking for each suitcase.

What if my suitcase is lost or damaged?
You write to us: we receive your claim and handle it with the transport company. The shipment has the statutory transport cover, which is calculated per kilo, and any compensation is determined under those regulations.
Can I book the outbound and return shipments together?
Yes, both in the same booking, and the return is 10% cheaper.
How far in advance do I need to book?
At the latest the day before the collection, and up to a year in advance. When booking you see the available dates for your route.

By WhatsApp and email, in any language. By phone, in Spanish and English.
